In 2010 a small group of churches in Denver started a neighboring initiative that encouraged people to learn, retain, and use their neighbors names. The premise was simple and concrete. The model spread quickly to other churches and cities around the country. To date, over 3,200 churches and 380,000 people have joined the movement and made a commitment to take the next step with their literal neighbors. The book, The Art of Neighboring, documents their story and provides principles that help people to build relationships with those who live closest to them.
